Designed to meet the massive civilian demand for WWII military arms, National Ordnance produced commercial cast steel receivers and mated them with authentic USGI surplus military parts. Featuring a lightweight short-stroke gas piston operating system and feeding from detachable box magazines, National Ordnance M1 Carbines deliver the iconic handling characteristics, low recoil, and rapid-firing fun of the original WWII platform.
