Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Engineered for foolproof reliability and rugged field endurance, the New England Firearms Pardner Model SB1 is an iconic American utility shotgun. Continuing the time-tested break-action lineage pioneered in New England, the Pardner SB1 centers on a robust case-hardened steel boxlock receiver featuring an automatic ejector, exposed hammer with transfer bar safety, and an ergonomic side-lever release. Chambered for powerful 3-inch Magnum 12 Gauge shells and featuring a fixed Modified choke, the Pardner delivers an ideal blend of dense, uniform shot patterning, nimble balance, and unbreakable mechanical simplicity. Long regarded as the gold standard in dependable farm, camp, and brush-hunting utility shotguns, the NEF Pardner Model SB1 remains a staple of American field shooting.
This specific example is an authentic American-manufactured New England Firearms Pardner Model SB1 single-shot shotgun chambered in 12 Gauge, bearing serial number NG326311. Outfitted in standard sporting field trim, it features a 24.75-inch barrel with a fixed Modified ("MOD.") choke, brass bead front sight, vivid color case-hardened frame, rich blued steel barrel, top-break release lever, exposed cocking hammer, and smooth-finished hardwood stock and forend. The factory case colors and blued steel surfaces present in great overall condition throughout, displaying crisp roll-marks, rich mottled hues on the receiver, and smooth metal surfaces. The smooth hardwood furniture presents cleanly with rich natural wood tones and light, honest handling marks consistent with careful sporting use. Mechanically, the top-lever break action locks up tight with zero play, the hammer cocks crisply, the automatic ejector kicks vigorously, and the 24.75-inch barrel bore is mirror-bright from chamber to muzzle. Offering unyielding American reliability, this NEF Pardner SB1 is ready for the field.
