The Palmetto State Armory PA-15 is a widely recognized AR-15–pattern semi-automatic rifle produced by Palmetto State Armory, designed to offer an accessible balance of affordability, modularity, and dependable performance within the modern sporting rifle market. Chambered most commonly in 5.56×45mm NATO or .223 Wylde, the PA-15 follows the classic AR-15 operating system originally developed by Eugene Stoner, utilizing a direct impingement gas system that channels gas from the barrel back into the bolt carrier group to cycle the action. Built largely to mil-spec standards, the rifle features forged aluminum upper and lower receivers, a rotating multi-lug bolt, and a buffer system housed within the stock, all of which contribute to its widespread parts compatibility and ease of customization. One of the defining traits of the PA-15 lineup is the sheer variety of configurations available, ranging from basic “Freedom” models to more upgraded variants with free-float M-LOK handguards, enhanced triggers, and premium barrel options. Barrel lengths commonly range from 16 inches in carbine configurations to longer rifle setups, with typical twist rates like 1:7 that allow the stabilization of a wide range of bullet weights.
