The Palmetto State Armory (PSA) PG-9 is a purpose-built pistol-caliber carbine that blends the familiar ergonomics of the AR platform with the simplicity and reliability of a straight blowback system. Chambered in 9mm (9x19), it features a 16-inch 4150V chrome-moly steel barrel with a 1:10 twist, nitride-treated for enhanced durability and corrosion resistance, and profiled in a classic A2 style. The barrel is capped with an A2-style birdcage flash hider and free-floated within a 13 1/2-inch PSA lightweight M-LOK handguard, offering a streamlined profile with ample real estate for accessories. Up top, the billet 7075-T6 A3 slickside upper receiver is hardcoat anodized in black and manufactured in the USA, pairing cleanly with a forged 7075-T6 lower receiver designed specifically to accept Glock-pattern magazines; it doesn't incorporate a last round bolt hold open feature. Internally, the Gen 4 Hybrid 9mm bolt carrier group is constructed from nitride-treated 8620 steel and utilizes a durable firing pin and external 5.56-style extractor, ensuring dependable cycling while remaining compatible with most aftermarket fire control groups. The rifle is equipped with a mil-spec single-stage trigger that delivers a consistent and familiar pull, complemented by a classic A2 grip that maintains the traditional feel of the AR platform.

At the rear, a 6-position collapsible Scorpion polymer buttstock mounted to a 7075-T6 aluminum buffer tube allows the shooter to easily tailor the length of pull for comfort and control, whether on the range or in more dynamic shooting environments. Rounding out the package is a Crimson Trace CTS-1100 3.5x Battel Sight optic featuring an illuminated hybrid BDC reticle, offering a clear, crisp sight picture that enhances target acquisition speed while still providing the precision needed for practical accuracy across a variety of distances and shooting applications.
