Bryant Ridge Co. is pleased to present this stunning single-action revolver today for a penny-start auction, this is the F.LLI Pietta Custom Shop / Davidson's Exclusive 1873 Gen II “First Edition Migliore Series."
The close collaboration between Davidson’s and Pietta Firearms continues to produce finely crafted, exclusive firearms designed to be passed down through generations. During a planning meeting, a Davidson board member asked the Pietta brothers, “What word in Italian means ‘the best” They answered, “migliore.” The board member replied, “That’s what we want to make.” From that moment, the name and intent of this project were established. As the inaugural edition of this prestigious line, the First Edition sets the standard for authenticity and elegance, with each revolver individually hand-inspected by Alessandro Pietta himself. This First Edition of the Migliore Series is limited to a production run of only 250 units. Each revolver includes a specially printed Davidson’s exclusive box, an embroidered Pietta Custom Shop felt bag, and a certificate of authenticity signed by the Pietta brothers and Bryan Tucker, CEO of Davidson’s.

The close collaboration between Davidson’s and Pietta Firearms continues to produce finely crafted, exclusive firearms designed to be passed down through generations. Introducing the First Edition Migliore Series single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, built around a 4.75” barrel and a Pietta Custom Shop tuned action for refined performance. During a planning meeting, a Davidson board member asked the Pietta brothers, “What word in Italian means ‘the best” They answered, “migliore.” The board member replied, “That’s what we want to make.” From that moment, the name and intent of this project were established. Achieving pinnacle-level quality that is rarely accomplished in a single step, during numerous meetings, planning sessions, shared ideas, and prototype iterations, paved the way for the final design. Parkwest Arms was brought in to perform the traditional bone-and-charcoal color case-hardening on the frame and hammer, while a deep, high-gloss blued finish on the remaining components was a shared requirement among all parties. The hand-set nitride-blued ejector pin, cylinder release pin, and screws further reflect the meticulous attention to detail and refinement throughout the build, while a fluted six-round cylinder reinforces its classic single-action profile. The Migliore features a one-piece grip carved from high-grade walnut, complemented by open fixed sights consisting of a notch rear paired with a blade front, and a true four-click hammer system that stays faithful to the original 1873 Colt design.
