The Remington Model 700 Custom Sendero is a precision bolt-action rifle built by the Remington Custom Shop, combining the proven Model 700 action with premium components and custom gunsmithing for long-range hunting and precision shooting. Based on the Model 700 long action, it retains the signature dual-opposed locking lug bolt, recessed bolt face, and cylindrical receiver that have made the 700 one of the most successful bolt-action designs in history. Unlike the standard production Sendero, the Custom Sendero features a hand-lapped, match-grade barrel, individually fitted and headspaced to the action, with options for stainless or chromoly steel, fluting, muzzle threading, or an integral muzzle brake. Rifles are typically fitted with premium McMillan, Manners, or HS Precision stocks that are glass and epoxy bedded for maximum rigidity and consistent accuracy. Additional Custom Shop options include oversized bolt knobs, detachable box magazine systems, custom Cerakote finishes, side bolt releases, and tuned triggers, with the rifles built to deliver sub-MOA accuracy, often guaranteed to produce 1-inch groups or better at 100 yards with premium ammunition.
