Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Remington 870 Tactical is a modern defensive and duty-oriented version of the classic Remington 870 pump-action shotgun, one of the most widely used shotgun platforms in history. Built on a steel receiver with dual action bars and a twin-lug rotating bolt, the 870 operates on a smooth, reliable pump-action system that feeds from a tubular magazine under the barrel. The “Tactical” configuration typically features an 18 to 20-inch cylinder-bore barrel, a shortened synthetic stock or adjustable stock system, and a matte finish designed to reduce glare and improve durability in harsh conditions. Many variants also include extended magazine tubes, ghost ring sights or fiber-optic sights, and drilled-and-tapped receivers for optics mounting. Chambered in 12 gauge (and sometimes 20 gauge), it is capable of firing a wide range of ammunition including buckshot, birdshot, and slugs. The 870 platform itself has been in production since 1950, making it one of the longest-running shotgun designs in American firearms history.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3-day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
