Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Interarms/Rossi Model 92 is a lever-action rifle based on the historic Winchester Model 1892 design, produced by Amadeo Rossi in Brazil and imported into the United States for many years by Interarms, becoming one of the most popular and affordable modern interpretations of the classic “92” platform. Chambered in a wide range of cartridges, including .357 Magnum, .44 Magnum, .45 Colt, and occasionally more powerful options like .454 Casull in later variants, the Model 92 uses a strong dual locking-block lever-action system that makes it well-suited for handling high-pressure revolver cartridges in a compact, fast-handling rifle format. Its operation follows the traditional lever-action cycle, where the shooter works a lever beneath the receiver to extract and eject a spent case, cock the internal hammer, and chamber a fresh round from the tubular magazine beneath the barrel, which typically holds 8 to 10 rounds depending on caliber and barrel length. Most Interarms-imported examples feature blued steel finishes, hardwood stocks with a classic straight or curved profile, and barrel lengths ranging from 16-inch carbine models to longer 20-inch sporting configurations, giving shooters a choice between maneuverability and sight radius.

Mechanically, the Rossi-built 92 is known for its strength relative to its size, with a compact receiver that still provides excellent lockup, making it a favorite for brush hunting, cowboy action shooting, and general field use where quick handling and reliability are important. While early imports sometimes exhibited rougher internal finishing compared to premium American lever guns, many examples smooth out significantly with use, developing the famously slick cycling action that lever-gun enthusiasts appreciate. Over time, the Interarms-marked Rossi 92 has become especially well-regarded as a budget-friendly gateway into the Winchester 1892 pattern, offering the classic lever-action experience with modern manufacturing at a price point that made it widely accessible to hunters and recreational shooters alike.
