The Rost Martin RM1C is a modern 9mm striker-fired compact pistol introduced in 2024 by Rost Martin, a new American firearms manufacturer based in Dallas, Texas. Designed for concealed carry and defensive use, the RM1C combines features commonly found on higher-priced pistols with an affordable production platform. It features a polymer frame, nitrocarburized steel slide, 4-inch hammer-forged barrel, optics-ready slide with included RMR-pattern mounting plate, ambidextrous magazine release, three-slot Picatinny accessory rail, and Rost Martin’s Responsive Grip Texturing (RGT). The pistol uses a striker-fired system with an approximately 5-pound trigger, a low bore axis for improved recoil control, and ships with a 15-round flush magazine and a 17-round extended magazine. With its compact size, modern ergonomics, and factory optics capability, the RM1C was designed to compete directly against established compact pistols such as the Glock 19, SIG Sauer P320 Compact, and Smith & Wesson M&P Compact.
