Produced at the historic Westfield, Massachusetts plant, the Model 73 features a single-shot bolt action with a distinct cocking knob at the rear of the bolt that must be manually pulled back after loading a cartridge to cock the firing mechanism. Combined with an automatic safety feature and versatile chambering for .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle ammunition, the Model 73 established a reputation for safety, reliability, and effortless accuracy.

This exact rifle, serial number P797842, was manufactured in Westfield, Massachusetts. Chambered in .22 S/L/LR with a 20-inch round barrel, it features a factory blued finish, grooved receiver for rimfire scopes, step-elevator rear sight, and a smooth hardwood stock fitted with a vented rubber recoil pad. Presenting in very good vintage condition overall with original bluing coverage, crisp barrel stampings, a mirror-bright bore, and solid bolt action, this Stevens Model 73 is a fantastic choice for training young marksmen, backyard plinking, or classic youth rifle collecting.
