The Sig Sauer P290 is a subcompact semi-automatic pistol developed by SIG Sauer as a deep-concealment defensive handgun intended for everyday carry, backup duty, and users seeking a small yet robust 9mm platform. Introduced in 2011 and later refined into the P290RS variant, the pistol was designed during the growing demand for ultra-compact carry guns that offered service-caliber performance in pocket-sized dimensions.
