The 1889 Marlin was an updated successor to the 1881 and 1888 rifles. It was designed utilizing a version of the 1881 action, chambered for the .32-20, .38-40, and .44-40 caliber cartridges of the day, but with the bolt, carrier and right-hand ejection system being the main differences. The gun was available in several different configurations. The 1889 Marlin was produced starting in 1889 through 1899 with approx 55,000 produced.
This Rare Marlin 1889 features a breech folding front sight, foldable mid, fold adjustable tang rear, blue finish with color case hardened parts, smooth walnut furniture and a 28" octagon barrel with a total of 2,260 produced featuring the 28" octagon barrel! This Rare example is perfect choice to add to your collection!
