Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
This rifle began life specifically as an M.38 manufactured by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag in 1941 as seen stamped on the receiver & was not part of the refurbishment program whereby M.96 rifles were arsenal converted as part of the trend toward shorter service rifles & became designated as the M94/38 as this was done in 1938. The M.38 is easily identified by the bent bolt as opposed to the straight handles on previous models. These rifles were used by all arms of the Swedish military during WW2, along with the Finnish Army in their war(s) against the USSR.
