The Husqvarna M38 is a classic example of the refined Swedish Mauser design, chambered in the highly respected 6.5×55mm Swedish cartridge. Manufactured by Husqvarna Vapenfabriks Aktiebolag, this particular model is part of the Swedish Mauser family—a lineage that includes the m/94, m/96, m/38, and m/41 rifles—renowned for their precision craftsmanship and outstanding metallurgy. The M38, introduced as a “short rifle” version, was derived from the earlier m/96 long rifle and incorporated a number of updates suited to the evolving needs of the Swedish military.
