Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The first series production of Korth revolvers began in 1964 with the police revolver chambered in .38 Special, serial numbered 20xxx. In a feature that persisted throughout the production of Ratzeburg Korth revolvers, the cylinder chambers were peened and polished by a hardened steel ball pressed repeatedly back and forth. this leads to a glassy smooth surface and makes extraction and cleaning a breeze.

Founded in 1955, just after the end of the post-war prohibitions on German firearm production, Willi Korth Ltd. produced only 7,141 revolvers between 1964 and 1981. Each revolver was bench-made by one of five full-time gunsmiths, producing only about 120 total revolvers annually with each individual revolver comprising approximately 70 man-hours of work and 600 distinct manufacturing operations. Unlike the then standard mass produced revolvers, Korth components were neither cast nor milled; instead they were ground from steel forgings and hand fitted by craftsmen who took pride in their work. Manufactured in 1966 with serrated ramped Patridge blade front and fully adjustable rear notch sights (German commercial proofs on right side of barrel). The cylinder is released by pulling out on ejector rod; entire cylinder assembly can be removed by depressing button on right side frame. Smooth trigger with adjustable stop; wide serrated hammer.
