Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
A gas-Browning shotgun, which was the first ever offered by Browning, struggled to become popular despite being a good gun. It faced stiff competition from Remington's 1100 and Beretta's 301 series, which were the standard for gas-operated shotguns at that time. The venerable A-5 shotgun, which had its production shifted to Miroku, was also a tough competitor. The B-2000 was Browning's first commercial effort at a gas-operated shotgun, and it was produced from 1974 to 1983. It replaced the recoil-operated Double Auto and was later replaced by the Browning B-80, which was mechanically similar to the 300, 301, 302, and 303 Beretta gas guns. Over the ten-year period, Browning sold 115,000 B-2000s in the US, while the Remington 1100 dominated the market. In contrast, the classic A-5 humpback was in production in Belgium from 1902 to 1972, with 2,500,000 made in Belgium, and in Japan until 1997. For a modern comparison, Beretta produces 50,000 391s a year. This example would be a very good choice for recreational and field shooting!
