Introduced in 1978, the Smith & Wesson Model 629 is a stainless steel version of the Model 29 which was made famous by the iconic character Harry Callahan in the movie "Dirty Harry." The 629 model designation derives from Smith & Wesson's practice of denoting a stainless steel version of one of their already existing designs by putting a number 6 in front of the 29 model number of the original weapon.
This Smith & Wesson 629 Magna Classic is a stunning collector's revolver. With a 7.5" barrel with a full barrel underlug, a stainless-steel finish, and handcrafted grips, this firearm is a true show piece. Only 3,000 of these revolvers were ever made in between 1990-91 with it being #2973 of 3000.
