This letter is to confirm that my wife, Lily Rodgers, a CMSA Hall of fame Cowgirl, used her two Colt Single Action Army Revolvers to win numerous CMSA and SASS cowgirl mounted shooting Titles. Among the titles are several state and regional Champion Cowgirl Titles. Most importantly, Lily won the 2006 CMSA overall Senior World Champion Cowgirl Title. She won the 2017 SASS National Champion Mounted Cowgirl overall award. Lily also added to her honors the SASS 2007 Senior Ladies 4 World Champion Mounted Cowgirl Title.
The President of Colt Firearms, Retired Army LT. General William Keyes, presented an engraved set Colt 45 and presentation letter to Lily and Jim Rodgers, in 2009. This set was given in appreciation of the sport of cowboy mounted shooting and the tremendous influence it has had on the industry. They proudly display this set in their home as one of the most treasured gifts. This honor the Colt manufacturing company and the work lily did to grow the sport Cowboy Mounted Shooting worldwide, makes this unique lady a well-known personality in the shooting sports industry. Lily continues to promote the sport at CMSA Events and through her photography on social media.
The Colt revolvers that she used to win these titles were consecutive numbered nickel plated 4 and 3/4 inch barreled 45 caliber Colt Single Action Army with factory ivory grips. The serial numbers of the Colt Revolvers are S27996A and S27997A.

The Colt Single Action Army is a single-action revolver has been offered in over 30 different calibers and various barrel lengths. Its overall appearance has remained consistent since 1873. Colt has cancelled its production twice, but brought it back due to popular demand. The revolver was dubbed the "Peacemaker", and is a famous piece of Americana and the American Wild West era, due to its popularity with ranchers, lawmen, and outlaws alike. Today, they are mainly bought as memorabilia by collectors and re-enactors. Its design has influenced the production of numerous other models from other companies.
Condition and Contents:
As you can see in the many high resolution photos, these Colt's are in Great over all condition showing no evidence of abusive consumer use or handling that we can see! Additionally, they will ship with the Colt factory box's, Provenance letters, magazine articles about Lily Rodgers, a picture of Lily Rodgers presenting her firearms to Mike Nappi and a piece of paper with Lily Rodgers Signature.
