Its exceptionally solid falling-block design and fast lock time produce world-renowned accuracy and shot-to-shot consistency, and the fit and finish are impeccable. This Model 10 is a gorgeous rifle, chambered for the 7x57 cartridge. The 7×57mm Mauser (designated as the 7 mm Mauser or 7×57mm by the SAAMI and 7 × 57 by the C.I.P.) is a first-generation smokeless powder rimless bottlenecked rifle cartridge. It was developed by Paul Mauser of the Mauser company in 1892 and adopted as a military cartridge by Spain in 1893. It was subsequently adopted by several other countries as the standard military cartridge, and although now obsolete as a military cartridge, it remains in widespread international use as a sporting round. This wonderful cartridge is paired with XXX grade walnut stocks, vibrant Bone Charcoal case color finish with engravings and gold inlay on the receiver, lever and tasteful grip cap and buttplate. Topped off with a Mounted Swarovski Z3 3-10x42 Scope on Color Case Hardened Tally Scope Rings, this is going to make for a hunting rifle as functional as it is beautiful.
