The CZ 97B is a semi-automatic handgun chambered in .45 ACP that was introduced in 1997. It is essentially the CZ 75B chambered in .45 ACP instead of 9mm, which has led many gun enthusiasts to refer to it as the "big brother" of the CZ 75B. In early 2022, CZ announced that the CZ 97B would be discontinued, with the last batches being made for the California market due to the handgun roster. The CZ-97B was designed with a 10-round capacity magazine in compliance with the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, and it was never designed to accommodate magazines larger than 10 rounds. This makes it a popular choice in states and countries that limit handgun magazine capacity.
