In October of 2016, Aero Precision introduced their "October Builder Set" that featured an AR15 M4E1 set with a Nickel Boron plated Battleworn (NIB Battleworn™) finish by Legal Manufacturing, LLC. This package deal included the finished pieces you need to assemble your own Nickel Boron plated Battleworn M4E1 Rifle, including an M4E1 Upper Receiver, AR15 Gen 2 Lower Receiver, Enhanced Handguard of choice and Billet Trigger Guard.

Aero Precision is not your typical “gun manufacturer” per say, rather they’re known for offering a host of parts and pieces enabling you to build an AR yourself. This can be as simple as buying a complete assembled upper and/or lower receiver, by purchasing individual pieces or anything in-between. They offer stripped receivers, barrels, handguards, trigger groups, bolts and bolt carrier assemblies, receiver extensions and a whole lot more. Basically, everything a home builder might need to assemble a good quality AR-15 or AR-10-style rifle.
This Custom Aero Precision M4E1 in .224 Valkyrie is a well-built auto-loading rifle with a number of interesting features. It features a fairly heavy profile 416R stainless steel match barrel. This is bead blasted for a dull finish and features a 1 turn in 7 inches barrel twist. It is threaded at the muzzle and comes with a Yankee Hill Machine Phantom QD Flash Hider. If you prefer a different muzzle device, or wish to run suppressed, it’s a simple matter to remove the flash hider and mount the device of your choice. Surrounding the barrel is Aero Precision’s Atlas S-One M-LOK free-floating handguard. This is approximately 15 inches in length and features front and rear picatinny rail, eliminating the center of top rail for weight reduction. M-LOK slots are machined into it at 3, 6 and 9-O’clock for mounting accessories. Quick Detach sling swivel sockets are machined into the rear of the rail at 3 and 9 O’clock. Inside the rail you’ll find a rifle length gas system and a low profile gas block. The match grade barrel is fitted to an Aero Precision M4E1 upper receiver. The M4E1 upper receivers feature a new angular machined design that helps it stand apart from standard mil-spec upper receivers. It is forged from 7075-T6 Aluminum, precision machined to work with all mil-spec AR15 parts.
The M4E1 upper receiver is designed to pair perfectly with the M4E1 Lower Receiver, giving you a billet looking receiver set at a fraction of the billet price. This forging is machined from 7075-T6 aluminum and it has a number of nice features. These include a threaded bolt catch roll pin, integrated trigger guard, upper tension screw, threaded take-down pin detent recess and a flared magazine well. Fitted to the lower is a Magpul MOE pistol grip and a Magpul PRS Gen3 Precision Adjustable Stock. The grip has a handy storage compartment. The stock is adjustable for length of pull and has an adjustable cheek riser. Multiple sling mounting positions are fitted. Plus, the butt features a soft and fairly thick rubber recoil pad. With the stock adjusted all the way in length of pull is a fairly long 14.8 inches.
Nightforce SHV line of riflescopes offers the same performance you've come to expect from Nightforce, but at a much more affordable package. The SHV series is perfect for a wide range of applications from target shooting to big game and varmint hunting. Yes, the SHV series comes at an affordable, but it should never be described as cheap. The quality of materials, precise tolerances, and the skilled workmanship make it impossible to build a world-class riflescope that is cheap. The SHV scope offers the versatility of other Nightforce lines such as the NXS, but without the overbuilt features, which were originally created to withstand actual combat conditions. The SHV riflescope uses a less complex design and manufacturing process, but it still features the quality components. Experience for yourself the same premium quality and precision only a Nightforce riflescope can offer, but now in a simplier, more economical package. Even with its consumer-friendly price point, the SHV riflescopes still offer the same revered bomb-proof durability as all of Nightforce's optics. Each scope features a one-piece tube precision machined from a solid bar stock of 6061-T6 aircraft-grade aluminum alloy. The tube is two to three times thicker than riflescopes of a lesser quality, resulting in less overall stress, greater thermal stability, a consistent zero and a virtually impervious shield for the precision optics within. The lenses are matched and aligned by hand in a process called optical indexing to ensure the highest possible optical performance. The objective lens utilizes a multi-element design like those found in the highest quality telescopes to focus light rays more precisely for exceptional image clarity and color accuracy. Optical performance is further enhanced thanks to multi-coated ED glass that results in superb light transmission, brilliant images, and exceptional color contrast. The internal mechanisms on the windage and elevation turrets are held in place by a specially designed spring that spends two weeks in a polishing tumbler before being installed in the optic to deliver perfectly smooth operation. This guarantees zero loss of integrity, zero loss of repeatability.
