Aero Precision is a great resource for building M5, AR10 or AR308 rifles. The M5 .308 Stripped Lower Receiver helps you build a big-bore AR from the ground up. Mil-spec dimensions and coating ensure the highest quality and correct component interface. The M5E1 upper receiver is a one-piece design combining the handguard mounting platform with the upper itself. Through superior engineering, they have condensed the parts needed to mount a free-floated handguard to a mere 8 screws. Since the handguard mounting surface and upper are of the same forging, not only is it a stronger system, but they were able to make additional lightening cuts to save weight and allow for more efficient cooling.
Ease of installation - Simply insert your barrel assembly into the M5E1 upper, tighten it using the included barrel nut and slide your rail on and tighten the rail screws. Within minutes you have a modular, free-floated rail.
The Luth-AR Modular Buttstock Assembly (MBA) for AR style rifles is designed to replace the standard buttstock on your AR. The MBA-1 is designed to work with a standard A2 rifle style buffer tube and features Length-of-Pull adjustment and an adjustable cheek rise in a low-cost, lightweight, strong and high-quality design. The modular design of the MBA Buttstock allows you to configure your buttstock to your specific and personal needs.
This is a great example of a custom modified Aero Precision M5! Whether you build off of what is here and customize it to your personal liking or leave it as it is, this is a great piece!
