The Beretta 92G Elite IA is a semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by Beretta. First appearing in 2001, the Beretta 92G Elite IA model came into being on demand of sports shooting competitors and law enforcement. The Beretta 92G Elite IA is fitted with the heavy Brigadier slide and a slide mounted decocking device. It is based on the Beretta 92FS Vertec frame. The slide is made out of carbon steel, the frame is black anodized aluminium alloy. The stainless steel barrel is slightly shorter than on other Beretta 92 pistols in order to reduce the risk of damaging the barrel muzzle.
