The Beretta 92G Elite LTT is the ‘Ultimate 92 Package’, incorporating many features including a special Vertec/M9A3 style slide with forward cocking serrations, fiber optic front sight, blacked out rear sight, G style decocker, beveled sharp edges, and an M9A1 style Frame that Beretta shooters have always loved.
The matte black Beretta 92 Elite LTT full-size semi-automatic is a force of beauty. It wraps extensive thinking, features, styling and technology around a 4.7” long barrel. It’s a capacious 18+1 capacity single-action/double-action package measuring 8.4” long, 5.4” tall and 1.5” wide. Unloaded weight is 34.8 ounces, or almost two pounds.
The Beretta 92 Elite LTT looks familiar because of its more than passing resemblance to the M1911. But keep staring to start ingesting fascinating differences. Coolest is that this Beretta has a cut-away Vertec/Beretta M9A3 lightening slide that is open to the sky from just behind the front sight all the way to the back of the cut-down ejection port. It reveals the normally mostly hidden barrel in its stainless steel splendor. The slide has numerous tightly packed diagonal cocking serrations at front and back. The snout has curved beveling that flares out front to back.
This 92’s sight radius spans 6.4” between the red fiber optic front sight and blackout square notched rear sight. The red contrasts beautifully against the rear sight’s stark black. Both the sights have glare-cutting horizontal serrations. The rear sight eschews a ramp in favor of vertical surfaces at front and back, permitting one handed slide operations against a suitable hard surface.
The left-hand only thumb safety is the coveted G-Model decocker. It hinges just below the sight on the slide and not on the frame as might a M1911.
