The CZ 97B is a semi-automatic handgun that was introduced in 1997. It uses the .45 ACP cartridge and is essentially the same as the CZ 75B, except for the difference in cartridge size. Due to this, many gun enthusiasts refer to the 97B as the "big brother" to the CZ 75B. The CZ 97B was designed to retain the functionality, ergonomics, and accuracy of its smaller variants, and it includes some parts compatibility. It features a screw-in barrel bushing and a loaded chamber indicator. The CZ 97B carries 10 rounds in a double column magazine and has a dust cover on the frame, similar to other CZ-75 models, but it does not have an accessory rail. In early 2022, CZ announced that the CZ 97B would be discontinued, with the last batches being made for the California market due to the handgun roster.
