This is a bolt-action rifle made by Howa in .22-250 Remington with a Boyds “Nutmeg” colored laminated thumbhole stock with rolled-over cheekpiece, a semi-beavertail vented forend with finger grooves and a heavy blue barrel with recessed crown. It comes with a Barska 3.5-10x40mm IR SWAT scope that delivers premium performance at extreme distances. Howa named this rifle their Model 1500 Supreme Varminter Thumbhole and this is really a Supreme rifle with everything you would want in a varmint rifle. The large rollover cheek piece is designed to minimize cheek slap when shooting and the thumbhole allows for increased accuracy while distributing the recoil among the palm and shoulder, thus minimizing muzzle jump and felt recoil. The forend also has side vents which permit the free floating barrel to cool efficiently for those long days at the range. The recessed crown will ensure the rifling at the muzzle remains sharp and true and the high power scope with its large objective allow you to sight-in on the smallest of critters at extreme ranges in just about any ambient light.
