The M 98 controlled round feed bolt action system is a design that was created by Paul Mauser and patented on 9 September 1895. It is a simple, strong, safe, and well-thought-out design that inspired other military and hunting/sporting rifle designs throughout the 20th and 21st centuries. The Mauser 98 Action is one of the most famous actions ever designed and is known for its reliability.
