This is the Para Ordnance C6.45 LDA chambered in .45 acp. LDA stands for “Light Double Action” and is unique feature is what sets this pistol apart from other 1911 variants. As a DAO “double action only” the pistol can be safely carried with the hammer down, safety off and a round in the chamber. (Firing the pistol requires a light take-up pull until you feel “the wall”, followed by 5lbs pressure, and a crisp trigger break.) With its 3” barrel, it is slightly smaller than the Colt Officer’s Model. The flat hammer eliminates the need for a beaver tail safety while the smooth contours eliminate anything to catch on clothing.
