Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Raven Arms was a firearms manufacturer founded in 1970 by firearms designer George Jennings. He entered the firearms business after the Gun Control Act of 1968 banned the importation of inexpensive handguns. Jennings designed the MP-25, a .25-caliber semi-automatic pistol, to meet the market demand. The MP-25 can hold six .25 ACP rounds in the magazine, along with one in the chamber. It comes in three finishes: chrome, satin nickel or black, and with either wood or imitation mother-of-pearl grips. There is another model called the Raven Arms P-25, which has a similar blowback and envelope design and is essentially identical to the MP-25. In early models, there is a sliding bar safety that prevents the pistol from chambering a round or cocking the striker if the safety is not in the fire position when the slide is pulled back. However, later models have a push-up safety that prevents the action from being cycled at all when engaged.
