Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Remington Rolling Block is a family of breech-loading rifles that was produced from the mid-1860s into the early 20th century by E. Remington and Sons (later Remington Arms). The action was extremely strong, and could easily with stand the increased pressure of the new smokeless powders that was coming into use by the late 1880s. The Remington model #4 Rolling Block Rifle is the smallest variant of the rolling block rifles that features a blue finish, 24 inch octangol barrel and a smooth wood stock.
