Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
The Rossi 62 is a sleek and well-made gun that was produced in Brazil between 1970 and 1998. It was imported into the US by Interarms. The design of the Rossi 62 was inspired by Winchester's pump-action Model 62. However, it should be noted that this is not the same as the current Rossi Gallery model manufactured by Rossi USA. The older Rossi Model 62s are made of walnut and steel, while the new version has a beechwood or polymer stock with some polymer parts. The old model also has a different action compared to the current one.

The Rossi 62 was produced in several iterations, including a rifle-length version with a 23-inch barrel in nickel and blued finishes. Some had octagon barrels. Like the original Winchesters, the Rossi 62 can be slam-fired, meaning you can hold the trigger back and work the pump quickly and the gun will fire every time the pump goes forward. For many shooters, this is a significant selling point. However, it is important to note that the hammer will not fall until the bolt locks into battery, so it is safe to use.
Original Winchester Model 62s have become collectible and firing them is considered impractical by some. Therefore, care should be taken to preserve their condition, both mechanical and aesthetic. As a result, the Rossi Model 62 has gained a reputation as a solid alternative. Most of them currently sell for close to double what they cost when new.
