Scharfenberg, born in 1831, became a significant figure in the German firearms industry during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. His company was known for producing reliable, well-crafted pistols, and the Offiziersmodel 1893 was one of his most popular models. The pistol was produced in various calibers, including 7.65mm, 9mm, and other European cartridges, making it versatile for military, police, and civilian use. Notably, the Offiziersmodel 1893 was offered with a special Swiss-type sight, offering both adjustable rear and front blade sight for improved accuracy, making it an appealing option for professional and recreational shooters alike.
