The Steyr L-A1 is a very reliable double-action, semi-automatic handgun. It's a full-sized pistol chambered in 9x19mm with a magazine capacity of 17 rounds. The L-A1 is the largest model in the Steyr pistol line, featuring a barrel length of 4.5" which offers maximum accuracy. Ideal for duty use, home defense, and sport or competitive shooting, it comes with a full-length integrated Picatinny rail that allows for mounting nearly any standard light and/or laser. The rail also has two recoil grooves that provide adjustment for any accessory installed on the firearm.
The slide of the Steyr L-A1 features slide-racking grooves at both the rear and front of the slide. As with each model in the Steyr A1 line of products, the pistol features a low bore-axis which minimizes recoil and improves control. The lower frame of the gun offers a standard slide-lock thumb tab, a right-handed magazine ejection button, and a pivoting break-down lever. Additionally, the pistol features a key-operated manual safety located next to the break-down lever.
