Bryant Ridge's Analysis:

The Ojanguren y Vidosa Crucero is a Spanish semi-automatic pocket pistol manufactured in Eibar, Spain, during the late 1920s and early 1930s by Ojanguren y Vidosa, one of the better-known firms operating in the Basque firearms industry. Most Crucero pistols were chambered in 7.65mm Browning (.32 ACP), although smaller 6.35mm (.25 ACP)variants also exist. Designed for civilian self-defense and commercial export, the Crucero followed the successful Browning-style blowback operating system and featured a compact steel frame, exposed hammer, manual safety, fixed sights, and detachable magazine. Like many quality Eibar-made handguns of the era, the Crucero exhibited solid machining and reliable function while reflecting the influence of John Browning's early automatic pistol designs. Produced in relatively modest numbers before the disruption of the Spanish Civil War, the Crucero remains a representative example of Spain's flourishing interwar firearms industry.
