Patton, John Cantius Garand's M1 Garand served as the primary service rifle of the United States Armed Forces throughout World War II and the Korean War. Operating via a long-stroke gas piston paired with a rotating bolt fed by 8-round en-bloc clips, the M1 provided American infantrymen with unprecedented semi-automatic firepower. Post-WWII/Korean War era production at Springfield Armory produced some of the finest service rifles in the platform's history, featuring refined metallurgy, precise machining tolerances, and durable parkized finishes.
