The Tisas 1911 A1 is a full-size, steel-frame semi-automatic pistol built as a faithful interpretation of the classic M1911A1 military sidearm that served through much of the 20th century. Chambered most commonly in .45 ACP, it follows the traditional single-action, short-recoil operating system developed by John Browning, using a tilting barrel and locking-lug system that helped make the 1911 one of the most respected handgun designs ever created.
