Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
Founded by custom gunsmithing legend Melvin Forbes in Granville, West Virginia, Ultra Light Arms (ULA) set the absolute gold standard for ultra-lightweight custom mountain rifles. Forbes revolutionized custom rifle building by engineering proprietary Kevlar and carbon-fiber composite stocks matched to fully blueprinted, scaled-down receiver actions. Rather than removing material from heavy existing designs, ULA rifles were purpose-built from the ground up to achieve sub-5-pound bare weights while maintaining full bench-rest sub-MOA precision. The Model 20 stands as ULA’s flagship short-action platform, scaled specifically around short-standard cartridges. This exceptional example bears serial number 91-057, denoting manufacture in 1991 during the prime golden era of Melvin Forbes' hand-built West Virginia shop. Chambered in the inherently accurate and versatile 7mm-08 Remington, this rifle offers flat trajectories, high ballistic coefficients, and superb downrange energy—making it the ideal backcountry setup for high-altitude elk, mule deer, and sheep hunting. Equipped with a matte black textured composite stock, sling swivels, stock sleeve ammo carrier, and a slick 22-inch barrel, this rifle comes pre-fitted with a premium Leupold Vari-X III 1.75-6x32mm scope mounted in lightweight integral rings. Original pre-expansion Melvin Forbes Ultra Light Arms (ULA) rifles are world-renowned among serious backcountry hunters and custom firearm collectors for their effortless carry and flawless reliability. Don't miss the chance to add this masterwork mountain rifle to your collection!
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3-day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
