The Varner Sporting Arms Favorite .22 LR is a finely made single-shot falling-block rimfire rifle closely patterned after the classic Stevens Favorite rifles of the turn-of-the-century period. Produced in Marietta, Georgia, Varner’s Favorite rifles are seldom encountered and are often noted for their quality construction, elegant proportions, and old-world sporting-rifle character. Chambered in .22 Long Rifle, the rifle uses a simple and reliable lever-actuated falling or swinging-block action, giving it a distinctive mechanical feel and making it well suited for target shooting, small-game use, and recreational rimfire shooting.
