The Walther CCP (Concealed Carry Pistol) is a thoughtfully engineered compact 9×19mm (and later .380 ACP) pocket/inside-the-waistband pistol that stands out because it uses a gas-delayed blowback system Walther calls “Softcoil,” which softens recoil and makes the slide noticeably easier to rack compared with many direct-blowback micro-compacts.Built around a fixed barrel and a polymer frame with a textured ergonomic grip derived from Walther’s PPQ lineage, the CCP’s geometry gives a surprisingly natural point of aim and comfortable purchase for a small pistol, and the fixed barrel plus the Softcoil system help the little gun deliver good practical accuracy and mild muzzle impulse for its size.Factory 9mm CCPs normally ship with an 8+1 magazine, a roughly 3.54" barrel, and an overall length near 6.4" with unloaded weight in the ~19–20 ounce neighborhood, making it compact enough for deep concealment while still giving a usable sight radius and controllable handling on the range.
