The Walther PPK/S is an iconic German-American compact double-action/single-action semi-automatic pistol created by combining the classic Walther PPK design with the larger PP frame to meet U.S. import requirements after the Gun Control Act of 1968. Introduced in 1968, the PPK/S retained the legendary blowback-operated action, fixed barrel, slide-mounted safety/decocker, exposed hammer, and sleek profile that made the Walther PPK famous. Chambered primarily in .380 ACP, with some versions produced in .32 ACP, the PPK/S became known for its compact size, elegant lines, and association with European police service, concealed carry, and popular culture.
