Wyoming Arms was a short-lived American firearms manufacturer that carved out a brief, polarizing niche in the gun industry from the late 1980s until its closure in 1992. The company's flagship creation, the Parker S.S. semi-automatic pistol, was a bold attempt to capitalize on the rising popularity of stainless steel handguns by blending traditional 1911 aesthetics with highly experimental engineering choices. While the broader Parker line began production in the late 1980s, the .40 S&W variant could only have been built toward the end of the company's run, as that specific cartridge was not officially introduced until 1990.
