Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
First introduced in 1904, the Colt Officer's Model established itself as the benchmark for American competitive Bullseye revolver shooting throughout the early to mid-20th century. Built on Colt's solid frame platform, early pre-war production examples are celebrated for their hand-fitted action lockwork, brilliant deep high-polish bluing, and distinctive fire-blue small parts and screws.
Manufactured in 1913, this rare early flat-top variant features an original high-polish finish accented by fire-blue screws and small components, a 6-inch heavy target barrel, Coltmaster adjustable rear target sight, serrated trigger and hammer spur, and checkered walnut target stocks. Most notably, the walnut grips feature rare early forward-facing gold Rampant Colt medallion emblems on both sides—a highly desirable variation for advanced Colt collectors.
