Bryant Ridge's Analysis:
First introduced in 1904 as the Officers Model Target and evolving into the Fifth Issue "Officers Model Match" in 1953, Colt's Officers Model family set the global standard for competitive bullseye revolver shooting throughout the mid-20th century. Built on Colt's famous medium "E/I" frame chassis—the exact hand-fitted platform shared by the legendary Colt Python and Official Police—the Officers Model Match was purpose-engineered for supreme accuracy. Featuring a heavy, non-tapered 6-inch target barrel, Colt's crisp Accro rear sight assembly, hand-honed internal action locks, and a wide checkered target hammer, this model achieved mythical status among target shooters. While the vast majority left the Hartford factory in traditional blued finish, factory bright nickel-plated examples in .22 LR are exceptionally rare and highly sought after by serious Colt collectors.
This magnificent collector example is an authentic Colt Officers Model Match chambered in .22 LR. Finished in a dazzling factory-style bright nickel plating, this revolver features a 6-inch heavy target barrel, fully adjustable rear sights, target hammer/trigger controls, and a set of select checkered walnut target stocks adorned with gold Colt medallions. Preserved in pristine, near-mint condition throughout with an exceptionally tight lockup and mirror-bright bore, this revolver represents a standout piece of post-war Hartford craftsmanship. Combining target-grade precision with rare nickel appeal, this Officers Model Match offers Colt connoisseurs a premier investment opportunity.
Return Policy:
We gladly offer a 3-day unfired inspection policy from the time that the firearm is delivered to your FFL. Refunds are available for all qualifying orders.
