The Colt Police Positive is one of the most influential double-action revolvers of the early twentieth century and played a major role in establishing Colt's reputation as a premier supplier of law-enforcement handguns. Introduced in 1905 by Colt's Manufacturing Company, the Police Positive was built on Colt's compact D-frame and was designed to provide police officers and civilians with a reliable, easy-to-carry revolver featuring modern safety innovations.
