The Davide Pedersoli Tryon Target is a finely crafted reproduction of the classic American plains rifle, built to honor the legacy of the historic Tryon Company of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Founded by George W. Tryon around 1811, the company grew into one of the most respected firearms manufacturers in the United States, producing plains and trade rifles that became synonymous with America’s westward expansion and the fur trade era. Chambered in .50 caliber, this reproduction captures the rugged character of those mid-1800s firearms. Its robust 32.31-inch octagonal blued steel barrel features 6 grooves and a versatile 1:48" twist rate, giving the rifle the balanced capability needed for both target shooting and hunting. Its appearance is defined by a smooth, oil-finished walnut stock fitted with an integrated cheekpiece and an elegant patchbox. This wood is beautifully complemented by color case-hardened steel furniture—including the back-action lock, buttplate, and triggerguard—all lending the rifle a rich, old-world character. Equipped with a crisp double-set trigger system for refined control, the rifle carries a dovetail-blade front sight paired with an adjustable buckhorn rear sight, and drilled and tapped to readily accept a Creedmoor rear tang sight and tunnel front sight for dedicated precision work.
