The Century Arms PSL-54 C is a highly sought-after semi-automatic designated marksman rifle that combines the rugged reliability of the Kalashnikov operating system with the long-range capability of the venerable 7.62×54R cartridge. Manufactured by Cugir in Romania and imported by Century Arms, the PSL-54 C was developed to fill the same designated marksman role as the Soviet SVD Dragunov, although it is mechanically a strengthened RPK/AKM-based design rather than a true Dragunov clone. Featuring a long-stroke gas piston operating system, reinforced stamped receiver, chrome-lined barrel, distinctive laminated thumbhole stock, detachable 10-round magazine, adjustable iron sights, and a left-side optics rail for military-style scopes, the PSL earned a reputation for durability, reliability, and practical long-range performance. Chambered in the powerful 7.62×54R, it can engage targets at extended distances while maintaining the simplicity and battlefield-proven reliability of the Kalashnikov platform. Original Romanian-built examples imported by Century Arms are especially prized by military firearms collectors, particularly those retaining their factory configuration, matching serialized components, and original accessories.
