Introduced in 1953 as the final evolution of the legendary Officers Model lineage, the Officers Model Match was built on Colt's medium E/I frame architecture—sharing its lockwork and hand-tuned trigger action with the flagship Python. Performance features include a 6-inch non-tapered heavy match barrel, ungrooved target rib, wide checkering on the target spur hammer, fully adjustable Colt Master rear target sights, and hand-checkered walnut target grips featuring gold Rampant Colt medallions. The original Colt factory blued finish presents in exceptionally clean overall condition, exhibiting deep mirror reflections across the frame and cylinder with only subtle high-edge handling wear. Mechanically, cylinder timing and lockup are exceptionally tight, the single-action trigger break is match-grade crisp, and the 6-inch heavy barrel displays a bright, flawless bore with sharp rifling. Complete with its woodgrain box, original factory test target stamped with serial "925718" showing an incredible 5-shot arm-rest grouping, Colt handbook, and factory literature, this Officers Model Match offers a premier, highly complete package for Colt revolver collectors.
