This Kimber Factory Letter documents an Anniversary Match Set-Custom pistol, identified by the highly significant serial number KMSC001. Chambered in .45 ACP, this model is configured with a 5-inch barrel, a matte black finish, and wood grips featuring Kimber 25th Emblems. The document highlights the firearm's historical importance as the very first serialized unit produced within its standard production line, marking the official beginning of that model's manufacturing history. As is common for inaugural examples, this "Serial Number One" pistol was originally held in the private collection of Kimber's founder and owner, Leslie Edelman.
