This Kimber Factory Letter identifies a Kimber Custom II (FGS), bearing the highly significant serial number KFGS00. Chambered in .45 ACP, this model features a 5-inch barrel, a matte black finish, and wood grips adorned with Franklin Gun Shop Emblems.The document highlights the firearm's historical importance as Serial Number One of a special edition series, a designation reserved for the inaugural example of a limited production run. Historically, these inaugural pieces were not released to the public but were instead retained within the private collection of Kimber's founder and owner, Leslie Edelman.
