The Kimber RAPIDE Dawn is a premium 1911-style semi-automatic pistol introduced in 2021 as part of Kimber’s flagship RAPIDE series. Chambered in 9mm Luger, the RAPIDE Dawn combines traditional 1911 craftsmanship with modern performance enhancements, featuring a stainless-steel frame and slide, Silver KimPro II finish with brush-polished flats, stepped front and rear cocking serrations, and slide lightening cuts that reduce reciprocating mass. It is equipped with a 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel with a gold titanium nitride (TiN) finish, match-grade bushing, TruGlo TFX Pro day/night sights with orange front ring, gray/black RAPIDE G10 grips, Stiplex textured front strap, and a V-Cut aluminum trigger. With a 9-round magazine capacity, approximately 4–5 lb trigger pull, and a 40-ounce unloaded weight, the RAPIDE Dawn was designed as a high-end target, competition, and enthusiast pistol rather than a lightweight carry gun.
